We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Cultural Engager to work alongside the Head of Culture and key partners, to place the people of Burnley and Padiham at the heart of cultural development in the borough. You will play a vital role in delivering Burnley’s Cultural Framework, co-designing and overseeing community-focused creative programmes both at the Mechanics Theatre and across the borough, building momentum towards Burnley 2027 Year of Culture and beyond.
This role will suit a skilled and adaptable engager, who is confident working with diverse communities. You will be experienced in developing and delivering a range of public events and creative activities and be a champion of inclusivity and accessibility. You will have a proven track record in building positive relationships with partners and stakeholders.
You will have good knowledge of creative wellbeing agendas and how cultural activities can drive social and economic development.
You will have experience of managing creative projects, successfully applying for funding, budget management, recruitment and support of volunteers and freelancers.
