Dinosaurs
Burnley Leisure and Culture are proud to offer a fascinating dinosaur experience through the Dino Hire programme. You can hire realistic prehistoric dinosaurs, complete with highly trained Rangers, for various occasions such as birthday parties, launch events, family fun days, and school visits.

Burnley Leisure and Culture deliver the Swim England Learn to Swim Programme. It is the leading national teaching syllabus for delivering safe, inclusive, and effective swimming lessons for all ages.
The structured and progressive content is based on a games-led approach to ensure children enjoy learning. With a bright new range of badges and certificates, the programme provides motivation and support for children at every level – from their first splash to gaining their enhanced aquatic skills.

Swimming Crash Courses
If your child’s water confidence could do with a boost, our Swim Academy offers crash course lessons suitable for children aged 3 years and over, from complete beginners to improvers.
Holiday crash courses are the perfect way for children to enjoy their time off and release energy while improving their swimming ability and are also an ideal way to introduce a non-swimmer (aged 3+) to the water before joining our swim school.

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme in Burnley provides free meals and activities for children eligible for benefits-related free school meals during the school holidays. It runs for 1 week at Easter, 4 weeks in the Summer, and 1 week in the Christmas holidays.
The programme includes a variety of energetic physical activities, exciting experiences, and nutritious food for children and young people 12. If your child is aged 5 to 16 and receives benefits-related free school meals, they can access free activities through the Fun Food and Friends programme. Burnley Leisure & Culture is a provider for the Burnley HAF programme, details can be found on the website.
