To book a court at Burnley Leisure you must have a leisure card. Payment is taken upon the booking of a court whether that is taken by card over the phone or by cash over the till. At the moment, we ask that you bring your own equipment. If this is a problem then equipment can be borrowed, but will need to be sanitised before and after use.  At the moment, bookings can only be made with people that are from the same household or social bubble, as we are following the Government’s social distancing guidelines.

The lifeguards can put steps into the pool for easier access. We have disabled changing rooms to allow more space for changing. The hoist is available upon request.

All our members have access to St Peter’s car park. When using our facilities, you are allowed 3 hours free parking by putting your car registration in one of the two iPads situated on the reception desk. Don’t forget!

To sign up for any direct debit membership, you can do it online at home, or come down to our centre and ask the receptionist for assistance. For an annual membership, money/card payment can be taken over the till and set up at St Peter’s/ Padiham Leisure Centre through the receptionist.

Up to 14 years old a child can sign up to a Junior Membership. When they reach 14 years old they become their own independent member and have their own membership priced at £22 a month via direct debit. 22+ years old reach mature student.

You have to be 14 to use the gym alone. For most classes it is 14, however, for the Les Mills classes (bodypump, bodycombat, bodybalance, sh’bam) it is 16 years old.

Children aged 8 and over that are confident alone can swim in the main pool. One adult can accompany two children under 8. However, for every child under 4, there needs to be one adult accompanying.

If you have registered your leisure card incorrectly please email info@blcgroup.co.uk to deactivate your account which will enable you to register again.

We offer members the option to freeze their membership for up to 6 months for a small monthly fee of £5.00 for Direct Debit members and a one off £10 fee for Annual members. This will mean that you avoid paying joining fees and pro-rata fees when you’re ready to come back.

Terms and Conditions: 7 days notice required. Freeze can only be applied from your next payment date in whole months from a minimum of 1 month upto 6 months.

The drop off and collection point is on the ground floor just next to the St Peters leisure centre reception.

We don’t have a time table of activities. However throughout the week we have a mixture of sports and team building games. Crafts and problem solving activities, Swimming for children over the age of 8 and trips out to local attractions. We tend to plan the week day by day. Our planning is centred towards the needs of the children, we like them to have a say in what activities they like and give them different options throughout each day (this excludes trips out, these are always planned in advance).

We do not provide the children with lunch. All children are required to bring a packed lunch each day.  

If your child is aged 8 and over and can swim 25m confidently they have the option to go swimming so make sure they have their swimming kit with them.

We ask that children come prepared for all weather. We like to walk to local parks so a coat is always needed, we also do a lot of arts and crafts so we advise that the children don’t come in their best clothes just in case. Throughout the day the children have the opportunity to participate in different physical activities, suitable footwear and clothing for these activities is advisable.

Our Ofsted registered holiday club is for children aged 5 to 13 years old.

Burnley Leisure as whole, has a policy that vaping devices cannot be used inside any of their buildings. Please ask a member of staff to show you where you are permitted to vape or smoke.

We kindly ask that during performances you do not use your mobile phone for the comfort of the rest of the audience. Photography is strictly prohibited during all shows.

Some performances do contain special effects; signage will be displayed around the building on the day of the performance. If you have health conditions that may be affected then please check with the box office that the performance will be suitable for you.

There is a lift from the main foyer, located under the stairs, which will take you to the main auditorium, or the loft, depending on which space you are visiting.

Sweets, crisps and chocolate are available to buy from our vending machines; Ices are sold from the stand on the first floor during the interval.

We are unable to allow pushchairs into the performance space as it does not adhere to our fire evacuation policy. Please see a member of staff who will show you where you can safely store your pushchair.

Some shows allow alcohol to be taken into the auditorium, please check with a member of staff when you arrive at the Mechanics Theatre.

If you require a booster seat for a child, please see an usher in the auditorium who will be happy to assist you.

Pre-theatre dining is available for the two hours prior to most shows; this is by reservation only and can be booked through the box office during their usual opening times.

Doors open for pre-theatre diners two hours prior to performance start time, and one hour prior to the performance for those who are not dining.

There is a car park to the rear of Burnley Mechanics Theatre, please be aware there is no public parking on this from 8am until 6pm, Monday to Friday as it is contracts parking only. On Saturdays from 8am until 9pm this car park operates a pay and display system. Outside of these times the car park is free for public use.

A maximum of 9 tickets can be booked online, if you require more than 9 then please call the box office to allow you to take advantage of group bookings discounts.

If you order tickets online or over the phone, they will be ready to collect on the next working day.

Gift vouchers are available from our bistro and can be used in all Burnley Leisure hospitality venues.

Seats can be reserved for 3 days via the box office; this option is not available for performances that are in high demand.

If you’ve misplaced your tickets, simply call the box office and they will be reprinted ready for you to collect on the day of the show.

Unfortunately, refunds and exchanges are only available for shows that have been cancelled.

The box office is open Tuesday to Friday, 11am until 4pm and Saturday’s from 11am until 2:30pm. On performance days the box office is usually open for one hour prior to the show start time.

Yes, Personal Training sessions are included in our full memberships*. As part of your membership you receive two 30-minute sessions per month or 1 hour with a fitness instructor for support, PT sessions, gym programme or any advice

Please book your PT session at the leisure centre.
