We are open again!

On Wednesday 2nd December, we will be reopening both St Peter’s and Padiham Leisure Centre. The gym and pool will open and swimming lessons will resume however due to being in Tier 3, we will be unable to resume group exercise classes. But fear not, we will be running a timetable (see below) of Facebook Live classes, Zoom classes and Outdoor classes at Prairie Sports Village for you to keep fit, active and healthy.

Swimming sessions in the pools must be booked online in advance. You can use the gym at anytime without booking before 4pm and on weekends, but after 4pm during the week you must book your gym slot online.

We’ve got this, you’re safe in our hands!

No membership DD payments will be taken in December. This is our Christmas present to you to say a big THANK YOU for sticking with us throughout this tough year. We couldn’t have done it without our members.

The golf course at Towneley Golf Club
Prairie sports village driving range

What isn’t open?

We won’t be able to resume group exercise classes (except outdoors at Prairie Sports Village)
Health suites (spa, sauna and steam) will not be open
Footgolf and 9-hole course at Towneley Golf Club are closed for the winter
Burnley Mechanics Theatre is currently closed due to government restrictions. In addition social distancing has led to many touring performances and artists needing to cancel and re-arrange their shows for later in the year. We are hoping to have a clearer idea of the Mechanics re-opening in January 2021. Meanwhile, the furloughed staff at the Mechanics are all busy working on the Burnley Together project supporting the most vulnerable in the town.
1855 Kitchen & Bar, Burnley Mechanics will remain closed until 2021. We are hoping to announce the opening for February 2021, our decision around keeping the venue closed is due to the COVID19 restrictions placed on the hospitality industry, lower town centre footfall and having no theatre productions.
The Boathouse, Thompson Park will re-open early April 2021 until October 2021 with a new menu and services.
