An enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative individual is required to join Burnley Leisure and Culture’s Community & Wellbeing team.  As the successful applicant you will be required to oversee and evaluate health programmes and initiatives, including Exercise Referral, Weight Management, and specialised services such as Phase 4 Cardiac Rehabilitation and Falls Prevention. Advocate for active wellbeing, foster collaboration with key partners and stakeholders, including Primary Care Networks and relevant public, private, and voluntary sector individuals and organisations.  You will be responsible for setting goals, managing teams, and nurturing a positive work environment.   

You must have a relevant Postgraduate qualification at degree level e.g. Public Health, Health Promotion, Sport Science.  Flexibility is vital as hours will include evenings and weekends.

The successful applicant will be a highly motivated individual, who is able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, have excellent communication skills, personal and people skills.

The Community and Wellbeing team have several dynamic lifestyle related projects that are fully integrated through excellent teamwork across Burnley.  Within this role you will work alongside various partners and stakeholders and support shared initiatives and campaigns. You will also be required to monitor and evaluate the project.

You must have experience of setting up and delivering programmes.  You must have excellent communication skills and be able to create and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of partners.
