An enthusiastic, dynamic and innovative individual is required to join Burnley Leisure & Culture’s Community & Wellbeing team. As the successful applicant you will lead and oversee the daily operation of Community & Wellbeing department
projects, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. You will be responsible for setting goals, managing teams and fostering a positive work environment.
You will work with the Community & Wellbeing teams, BLC colleagues and external partners to co-ordinate, manage and deliver sustainable activities and events throughout the Borough. In addition to identifying funding sources and developing bids in partnership with new and existing partners to enhance and sustain service operations.
You must have a relevant Postgraduate qualification at degree level e.g. Community Development, Health Promotion, Sport Science. Flexibility is vital as hours will include evenings and weekends.
The successful applicant will be a highly motivated individual, who is able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, have excellent personal and people skills.
You will be responsible for working with other teams within Burnley Leisure & Culture and in conjunction with other stakeholders to promote the value of sport and physical activity in addressing wider objectives of health, education and community wellbeing.
You will identify partnership opportunities with a range of external organisations and community groups to add value and promote the delivery of the Health Activity Programmes, with a key focus on populations and communities displaying the greatest health needs

You must have experience of setting up and delivering programmes. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to create and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of partners.
