Coronavirus Update

Updated: 10th December 2021

I don’t think any of us thought we would still be needing to update this page in December 2021, but here we are! We want to reassure all our members and customers that your safety never stopped being our priority and we are continuing to do everything we can to make you feel safe and happy in our centres.

Once again, we can’t thank you enough for your support over the past year – and for continuing to make our venues a lovely and safe place to be.

Current Guidance and Restrictions:

Across all our hospitality and cultural venues we are requesting and encouraging all customers to wear a face covering. All staff at these venues will also be wearing face coverings.

St Peter’s and Padiham Leisure Centre:

In line with the latest government guidance we politely ask all at St Peter’s and Padiham leisure centre to wear face coverings when entering, and when they are not using the gym, pool or participating in an exercise class.

Social distancing measures, screens, sanitisation points and reduced touch points are all in place as they have been throughout the year.

Mechanics Theatre:

All ticket holders are required to take a lateral flow test on the day of their event – children over the age of 12 are required to take a test. This result must be logged on the NHS site and you will be asked for proof of this negative result when you enter the theatre by our security team.

You can order lateral flow tests using the following link:

You report your lateral flow test result using the following link:

You must wear a face covering when entering and walking around the building.  We also highly recommend you keep your face covering on during your entire visit to the Mechanics.

Please do not visit the Mechanics Theatre if you feel even slightly unwell.

Why are we asking for this at the Mechanics Theatre?

  1. To keep ticket holders safe.
  2. To keep our staff COVID free and able to work.
  3. To ensure we can keep our theatre doors open.

For specific advice and exemptions please contact the box office on 01282 664400.

Towneley 197 Bistro & Bar, Towneley Golf Club: Please wear face coverings when moving around the Bistro indoors.

Prairie Sports Village and Towneley Golf Course: Due to both of our golf facilities having retail venues within, please wear face coverings when moving around the venues indoors.

We really are looking forward to celebrating with you over the festive period at our centres! Please get in touch if you have any concerns.
