'We'll Meet Again' at Burnley Mechanics

Burnley Mechanics will play host to an afternoon of pure nostalgia with a celebration of wartime entertainment at its best; featuring tributes to the great radio stars of the 40’s and 50’s and all the hits from the blitz!

Starring comedy entertainer STEVE BARCLAY, bringing impressions of wartime comedians and, by very special request, the return of Britain’s greatest virtuoso of the Ukulele, ANDY EASTWOOD.

The show features star of the West End, MAGGIE O’HARA who will be bringing to life once more the Songs of Vera Lynn and Gracie Fields, with a touch of Ann Shelton, to the wartime cavalcade.

There will also be a full supporting cast with MERVYN FRANCIS – former singer from the Black and White Minstrel Show, and special guest comedian and multi-instrumentalist,  PETE LINDUP.

Live music from the MARTYN ST JAMES BAND will complete in making this an afternoon show of real variety; a tribute to our Armed Forces of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Recreating all the great songs and music of the war years, this is damp eye nostalgia that will leave everyone with a warm and sentimental glow.

We’ll Meet Again, Sunday 10th April, 2.30pm. Tickets £12.50 / £10.50
