Lace up your running shoes for a charitable cause as the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile returns to Towneley Park in March.
The charity event heads to Burnley for the fourth time, with hundreds of runners and walkers set to take part on Sunday, 20th March.
Setting off from the Towneley Park, the Burnley Mile will take in the sights of historic Towneley Hall and breathtaking countryside.
A mass warm up will take place at 10am in advance of the mile run, which sets off from the Riverside Café at 10:30am.
Super sprinters and willing walkers can choose to complete the challenge over one, three or six miles.

From little ones with their mums and dads, to runners up against the clock there’s something for everyone to make themselves feel proud on this special day.”
The national Sport Relief Games is taking place across a full weekend, from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th March, with three whole days of energy, entertainment and events.
The weekend will kick off with the country getting active and raising money at home, school or work, before enjoying a star-studded Friday evening of Sport Relief TV on the BBC.
