Health Suite Access Update at St Peter’s Leisure Centre
We’re always looking for ways to make your experience at Burnley Leisure and Culture better, and we’re excited to introduce a brand-new system at St Peter’s Leisure Centre that will make accessing the health suite easier and more convenient than ever:
New Personal Sauna Bands – £5 for Members
Starting September 1st, we’re introducing personal sauna bands to allow quicker, more direct access to the health suite:
1 – Purchase your sauna band for just £5 (member price).
2 – Book your sauna session as usual via the BLC app or website—this will automatically activate your band for your visit.
3 – Check in at the self-check-in screens and scan your band at the health suite entrance. If you arrive slightly after your time slot, you will need to book at reception.
4 – The sauna band is yours to keep throughout your membership—no return needed after each use.
5 – To use this system, download the BLC App. Your BLC membership card will no longer be required for sauna access.
Sauna Band Usage Policy
- Sauna bands are non-transferable and must not be shared with others.
- Any member found sharing their band will face membership cancellation.
Lost or Replacement Bands
- There is a £10 replacement charge for lost bands, even if they’re borrowed.
- Access will not be granted without your band.
Cancelling Your Membership?
- Once you return your sauna band, you will receive your £5 deposit refund.
- Your band will no longer work in the system once membership is cancelled.
You can buy your bands from September 1st, 2025 at reception

Prefer the old way?
For members who prefer the existing process, we will continue to offer the current system.
You will still be required to queue at reception to borrow a sauna band for each session for £10 deposit. Borrowed bands must be returned to reception after use.
