Children in Burnley are being offered a chance to tear themselves away from the TV or games console with a packed programme of activities at the Prairie Sports Village.
The half-term holiday fun club at the recently opened sports village on Windermere Avenue will run between 18th and 22nd April and will cater for girls and boys aged seven to eleven years old.
Children will have the opportunity to play football on the new 3G pitch and practise their swing on the golf driving range.
The activities will be led by FA qualified coaches with the support from PGA professional James Major giving top golf tips for children.
Sam Dixon, Burnley Leisure’s sport activator, said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer this exciting new addition to our popular kids’ holiday programme.
“Children will have the opportunity to have fun and meet new friends in a safe environment. The holiday club is a great way for children to discover new interests and explore new activities and is also sure to be a great energy-burner too.”
Daily sessions cost £12 per child, or £50 per week, with extra 10% sibling discount, and children need to bring a packed lunch.
Youngsters can be dropped off and picked up half an hour before the start and up to half an hour after the end of activities, which run from 9am to 3.30pm every weekday between 18th and 22nd April.
Places are limited. To book your child a place, please contact Sam on 01282 425011 ext. 3228 or email sdixon@burnley.gov.uk.
