Free business workshops set to inspire budding artists

Dream of starting your own business or would like to expand your existing one?  

Burnley Mechanics will be hosting a line-up of speakers and free workshops for artists looking to boost their careers and set up their own business. 

The Fire Up sessions will include experts from a range of industries, who will reveal top hints and tips in developing a successful business. 

The first two of a series of workshops will be held on 11th October and will cover topics on how to design a creative business and how to best promote it.  

Other sessions in the series which runs until February 2018, will navigate essential topics from fundraising and commission proposal writing, to contacting galleries and marketing. 

The Fire Up initiative is designed to motivate budding and mid-career artists and creative entrepreneurs helping them to sell their work and turn their business ideas into a reality, whilst providing the opportunity for like-minded people to mingle and network. 

It is funded and supported by Arts Council England, Creative Lancashire, a-n the Artists Information Company, and Burnley Leisure.
