In the spotlight: Janet Roundell
Always keen on sports and being active, Burnley Leisure and Culture’s Activities Manager, Janet Roundell, was in the thick of the re-emergence of women’s football, playing then managing, and has also thrown herself into running and cycling.
She then spearheaded the formation of outdoor and indoor rounders leagues in Burnley – a success story that has created untold success and benefits for those participating. Janet, who is also a golf fanatic, told her story, and spoke of her motivations, on our first podcast, ‘Where sport and culture collide’.
