The countdown is on for the second Burnley Leisure 10k run which takes place on Sunday, 18th September 2016.
With less than two weeks to do until the bid day, organisers are urging runners who haven’t secured their place yet to sign up as soon as possible.
Entry closes on 5pm Friday, 16th September, and people want to take part in the picturesque run around Padiham are encouraged to book their place by registering online at www.bookitzone.com.
Application forms can also be picked up from St Peter’s or Padiham leisure centres or obtained by emailing leisure@burnley.gov.uk.
Garry Stein, Burnley Leisure’s assistant manager, said: “We are pleased with how many people entered the Burnley Leisure 10k run so far.
“But we still have places left so we’re urging anyone who has been thinking about it to commit and take action today.”
Starting at 11am near Padiham Leisure Centre on Park Rd, the race will cover some of the town’s most attractive spots including the new Padiham Greenway, the Leeds and Liverpool Canal towpath as well as the beautiful Hapton and Padiham countryside.
The 10k run is open to anyone aged 15 or over.
