Pendle Family Running Festival, a weekend of racing and activities, has received a boost in the form of sponsorship from Burnley Leisure.
The organisation, which promotes art and cultural development and supports a wide range of outdoor leisure activities in Burnley and Padiham, is sponsoring a trail race as part of a two-day festival running on 18th and 19th July.
The scenic race will take place on Sunday, 19th July, allowing runners to experience a beautiful Lancashire landscape and new terrain.
Burnley Leisure sponsorship joins a growing list of both local and national organisations including the Trail Running Association, Up & Active, Pendle Leisure Trust and many others, to support the festival which will attract families and running enthusiasts from across the county.
Neil Hutchinson, head of operations at Burnley Leisure, said: “We are passionate about supporting the communities, and about boosting outdoor sporting events in the area.”
The organiser of Pendle Family Running Festival Molly Ralphson said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to partner with Burnley Leisure and welcome them on board as one of the event sponsors.”
Other activities at the festival will include the Denwa 10k run, Physioroom.com half marathon, high and low ropes, archery, climbing and the Indigo orienteering score event.
Children will also have an opportunity to take part in fun races on both days.
