Burnley Leisure has again been shortlisted for prestigious fitness industry awards, beating off strong competition to make the finals.
The leisure trust has been shortlisted for Local Authority/Leisure Trust of the Year as well as Group Exercise Gym of the Year at the National Fitness Awards.

The National Fitness Awards are the biggest and best free-to-enter awards in the gym and fitness industry and they recognise excellence, innovation and hard work.
It’s the fourth year in a row Burnley Leisure has been nominated. Last year it was crowned as the UK Gym Team of the Year.
This year awards, organised by leading fitness industry magazine Workout with support from headline sponsor ServiceSport, were launched in February and there had been an exceptional number of nominations.
Closing date for entries was in August and up to seven facilities were selected to go through to the next stage of the judging process.
This stage involves a visit to each finalist by a member of the Workout team who will take a look around the facilities and chat to members and staff before compiling a comprehensive report, which will then be passed on to an expert judging panel to decide the lucky winners.
They will be announced at a glittering ceremony at The Athena, Leicester, on 2nd December.
The event will be hosted by boxing world champion Ricky Hatton and award winning personal trainer and star of The Apprentice Katie Bulmer-Cooke.
