I joined Padiham leisure centre about 2 years ago, primarily in a bid to lose some weight, I go on a regular basis taking 2/3 classes per week and I use the pool to swim. I really enjoy it, the instructors are great, and the general staff are just so friendly, I recommend it to everyone
I’ve been a member of St Peter’s and Padiham Leisure for a good number of years and do classes a few times a week; I enjoy the BodyCombat class and indoor cycling class. All the instructors are helpful friendly and professional full of enthusiasm doing their classes with a warm friendly approach that makes you feel you can achieve your goals and motivate you whilst still making it fun.
Health and Fitness plays a huge part in my life. I have been a member of Burnley leisure for approx. 20 years and have seen it evolve into the huge success it now is. I remain a member due to the classes and the instructors. I particularly enjoy the triathlon sports and am always looking for improvements in my performance. A well-structured class timetable is delivered. I love the spinning…
I am proud to say I am a member of St Peter’s Gym, and have been for over 10 years. I get a fantastic workout, in whatever class I choose to do. The instructors are enthusiastic and extremely motivational and encourage you to do as much as possible; helping you to work at your highest level to push your fitness…
I have been a member of Padiham Leisure Centre for the past 18 months and want to say how great the gym, activity studio and indoor cycling classes are. The staff, in particular Karly, Rebecca and Sarah, are very welcoming, knowledgeable and hardworking, and make the classes rewarding and fun (!).
FrBoth my children are swimmers at St Peter’s Leisure Centre and I spend up to 16 hours a week there. During this time I thought I’d try a indoor cycling class but I was relatively unfit and looking for some motivation…
The instructors are highly motivated, full of energy, very knowledgeable about the routines, friendly, approachable about any questions you might need answering or advise that you might require, fun to be around (which I like) and very welcoming indeed to all who walk through the door…
Staff in the gym give advice, use initiative and are approachable and interact with users. Karly showed the regulars and me how to use the TRX band and new equipment. I’m taken by all the instructors and the enthusiasm, knowledge and ability to make pain enjoyable is amazing.
I’ve been a member of St. Peters centre for more than 4 years now and really enjoy it. I try to go 4 times a week, mainly to try to keep fit in general and prevent injuries to especially my back. When I joined I was taught by a pleasant member of staff how to use all the different equipment and the pool…
I have been attending classes and the gym at both Padiham and St Peters Leisure centre for the last 6 years. The whole system excels in terms of consistency in classes, keeping up with new innovative approaches to fitness, high standards of hygiene and cleanliness and approachable, knowledgeable and friendly staff. The equipment is maintained to a high standard…
Equipment in the gym is everything you need right down to foam rollers/resistant bands etc. There are always staff members present who will help if needs be. Both gyms have plenty of weights so don’t have to wait for others to finish delaying your own routine..
I was encouraged to join the running club. Don’t ask me how I was persuaded, as I couldn’t even run to the top of the street! But I did, and with lots of encouragement, motivation and being believed that “I could do it” from the leisure centre staff, I have completed various 5k and 10k runs, with 3 half marathons under my belt, too.
I received my induction for the gym by one of the staff members and instructors Karly. First of all I have to say Karly’s customer service is impeccable. I was quite nervous having never been a member or attended a leisure centre before but I had nothing to worry about. Karly was welcoming friendly and such a lovely genuine personality I was at ease immediately…
As a regular user and member of St. Peter’s gym Burnley leisure I would like to comment on how brilliant the facilities and staff are I have used the gym for 12 years now and it is such a relaxed atmosphere whether young or getting on in your years you will always find a cheerful and helpfully face to show you the ropes it doesn’t matter what fitness level you are…
The Instructors are knowledgeable, friendly and informative as well as being encouraging when participating in the many varied classes. The atmosphere within the facility is light clean and airy and covers many levels and studios including the swim and health suite. I am happy with the fees for membership and combined with the other sports facilities in the area, give exceptional value…
I’ve remained a member of St Peters for many years because of the great team of trainers, the variety of & ever-changing classes & its state of the art gym. The trainers are so enthusiastic, encouraging & knowledgeable & come to know you by name & your ability making you feel part of the team. Their friendliness & cheerfulness makes training fun…
I have attended St Peters Leisure Centre for at least 5 years now and the support that I have received from the personal trainers has always been very good…
I attend BodyBalance twice a week and the classes are led by Rebecca and Karly. This class is perfect for what I need….toning, stretching, flexibility to music. I like the fact that the routine changes every three months. Both teachers are good at explaining and demonstrating new moves and are always happy to spend time after the class answering any queries…
I have been a member of Burnley Leisure many years now before that I used to exercise at home, as a result of becoming a member of Burnley leisure my fitness level increased to a standard that I did not feel would have been achievable at home and this is due partly to the instructors being freely available, friendly and approachable…
I have been a member for at least 4 years, my fitness levels have increased drastically through the help, advice and inspiration from all the instructors at the gym, St Peters Centre is a great place to exercise. I find that the timetable and the variation of the classes fits in with my busy schedule. The instructors are always friendly…
I’ve been a member at Padiham leisure for the past 4 years, attending classes and gym sessions, including PT sessions. The staff are extremely friendly and always happy to help and the new gym facilities are excellent. The classes are fun, and trainers really motivate you. I am so much fitter than I have ever been.

I have been a member of the gym for ten years. The staff from the cleaners through to the instructors are very professional. All the instructors are extremely articulate and knowledgeable in their given fields. Group classes cover a range of abilities and needs the instructors gauge this immediately and offer relevant information to help everyone enjoy the classes…
Rebecca, & Karly always give 100% in the many fitness classes they undertake…their positive attitude is always there for people to see and they are always full of encouragement, no matter who it is…
I have been going to gyms and sports centres since 1976 for various activities! Mainly St. Peter’s Centre , I’ve been to all others in the area, both private and council run…From the staff on reception to all the brilliant instructors that train coach and encourage you! Also it attracts a good mix of people from all walks of life that I have made a lot of friends with!
I’ve been a member at St Peters for over 5 years and over that time I’ve attended many classes run by Rebecca and Karly. The classes are great with a friendly atmosphere and knowledgeable and approachable staff. It’s a real family atmosphere at St Peters and although there are lots of other gyms available locally I wouldn’t move as I would miss the teaching staff and the great vibe.
I became a member in May 2011 after deciding to quit smoking. I remember my first class (BodyCombat) and feeling rather nervous, as I didn’t know anyone. The instructor made me feel extremely welcome, the class was great, and needless to say, I still go to the classes and I’ve made lots of new friends.
