It’s time to start enjoying the good things in life again, safely and in professional hands!
We’re delighted to be slowly but surely returning back to normality and we can’t wait to see you again if we haven’t already!
Below, we outline the latest reopening updates and the safety procedures we have in place to ensure everyone can get back to doing what they love feeling safe and happy.

We will continue to offer updates as and when there are further guidance changes, particularly within our hospitality and entertainment venues.
Your safety is still our priority
✔️ We are encouraging our members to continue wearing face coverings within our buildings to and from activities/bistro seating and be respectful of others as per government guidance
✔️ Please still “do your bit, clean your kit” within the gym – wiping down equipment after use
✔️ Staff will continue to wear face coverings and have a lateral flow test twice a week across all our venues
✔️ Classes that utilise equipment will still have designated floor markings to ensure a safe distance is kept
✔️ All screens, sanitising stations, reduced touch points and ventilation of areas will remain in place
✔️ Heightened cleaning regimes will remain in place
✔️ Table service will continue at hospitality venues
What’s changed?
(from 19th July 2021)
✔️ Spectating outside of safeguarding can return indoors
✔️ Changing areas/cubicles/lockers are open fully
✔️ Spin studios are reopened
✔️ All gym equipment back to normal including Feelgood Ladies Gym
✔️ All activities back to normal including racquet sports
✔️ Increased numbers across all sessions
✔️ Fitness classes, driving range and golf to remain as bookable but we are now accepting walk-ins
✔️ Extra sessions for swimming and health suite
✔️ Swimming lessons resume normal operations (no need to book for swimming as of 30th August)
✔️ Golf and clubhouse resume normal operations
Our Covid Promise
Our promise to you during these turbulent times, is that if our centres need to close again or there is another national lockdown, we will instantly freeze your membership for the time we are closed and if you are an annual member, any closed months will be added to the end of your membership. You can be confident that you will only pay membership fees when we are open.

Burnley Mechanics Theatre complies with all the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure the safety of our staff and audiences. That’s why we’ve been awarded the ‘See it Safely’ mark from the Society of London Theatre.
