The Boathouse

Set in the serene and beautiful surroundings of Thompson Park, the Boathouse offers a day out with a difference and plenty of activities to enjoy. Bring family or friends for a row around the boating lake in a traditional rowing boat, Canadian canoe or fun double or single kayak. The ice cream café serves fresh coffee, cold drinks, ice cream and snacks. Seating is available out on the new lakeside seating deck. The Boathouse is open every weekend from 12pm-5pm, and bank holidays and school holidays from April to October.
