what is swimfit?
Swimfit is a structured, pool-based fitness session created by Swim England. It uses guided workouts, drills, and pacing sets to help improve your swimming technique, fitness, and overall performance. Led by an experienced coach, the session is suitable for all abilities, from developing swimmers to those looking for a more challenging workout.
Swimfit offers a full body, low impact workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, strength, endurance, and technique. The water provides natural resistance without placing stress on the joints, making it ideal for building fitness safely. It can support weight management, enhance mobility, boost confidence in the water, and improve overall wellbeing.
Please be on poolside at least 5 minutes before the class. Entry to the water will not be permitted until 5 minutes before the session starts, so arriving on time ensures you can get settled and ready to begin safely.
Wear a swimsuit or swim trunks and arrive ready to get in the water. All equipment will be set up and ready for you on poolside.
Book your class via our app or at reception. Use the app to reserve your spot up to 8 days in advance or book at reception up to 7 days in advance. For pay-as-you-go bookings, spots can be reserved up to 3 days in advance, with payment taken at the time of booking.

Yes. To take part, you must be able to swim a minimum of two lengths of front crawl and two lengths of backstroke.
Absolutely. The sessions are designed to challenge you at your own pace. Your coach will tailor sets and distances so you can work at a level that suits your ability and confidence.
You do not need to be advanced, but you should feel comfortable swimming continuously and be confident with basic strokes. The coach will help you improve your technique over time.
