Towneley 18 Hole Golf Course
Towneley Golf Course, set within the picturesque Towneley Park in Burnley, offers a relaxed and enjoyable golfing experience for players of all abilities. The course features a mix of open fairways and mature woodland, creating a peaceful parkland setting ideal for a full round or a quick nine holes. After your game, you can unwind at the on-site bistro, which serves a selection of meals, snacks, and drinks – perfect for a post-round treat or a casual meet-up with friends.
At Towneley Golf Course, we strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all golfers. To support this, we do not have a formal dress code. Although golf shoes are recommended for comfort and performance, trainers are also acceptable. For the protection of the course, particularly the greens, work boots, and cricket shoes are not permitted.

Please note, hire clubs are not currently available at this venue.
- Own bag: Each player must have their own bag and clubs
- Be on time: Arrive early for your tee time and be ready to start on schedule
- Maintain pace of play: Keep up with the group ahead. Be ready to hit when it’s your turn
- Respect quiet: Stay still and silent when others are hitting
- Care for the course: Replace divots, repair ball marks on greens, and rake bunkers after use
- Safety first: Don’t swing until it’s clear. Shout “Fore!” if your ball may hit someone
- Keep carts where allowed: Follow cart-path rules and avoid wet or restricted areas
- Mind the green: Don’t step on others’ putting lines and handle the flagstick carefully
- Be courteous: Use polite language, be patient, and show good sportsmanship.
Our fully stocked golf shop features leading brands such as Adidas, Titleist, FootJoy, Cleveland, Srixon, and PowaKaddy, among others. All products are offered at competitive online prices, along with friendly, personal service in store. We also provide gift vouchers that can be purchased and redeemed at any BLC venue. We often hear, ‘I’ve never seen that before in a golf shop.’ Alongside our unique retail offering, we also have a fully stocked bar serving both our outdoor seating area and our comfortable downstairs lounge, where you can catch Sky Sports on two 65” TVs. Whether you’re grabbing a pint before heading out or celebrating a record-breaking round, make sure you leave a little time to stop by and enjoy the atmosphere.
The car park is free for all golfers to use, and you don’t need to pay & display. However, you must enter your car registration into the tablet in the golf shop, please make sure you do this to avoid a parking fine.
When parking all cars must be parked inside a designated bay; parking on the entrance road or outside of a bay may result in a parking fine. Additional parking can be found in the lay-by on Todmorden Road.

Society Pricing
We offer society bookings 6 days a week. With competitions being played on a Saturday we are unable to offer them on this day
Society bookings require a minimum of 10 people, and a deposit is due at the time of reservation. Final numbers must be confirmed at least 7 days in advance; otherwise, you will be charged based on the number originally booked.
