Enjoy a fast-paced and fun game of Short Tennis at St Peter’s Leisure Centre. Located in Burnley’s town centre, the sports hall provides a welcoming space for both casual players and those looking for a more competitive match.

Whether you’re playing with friends, practising your skills, or organising a small group session, Short Tennis is a great way to stay active and have fun. 

The sports hall can accommodate up to 4 short tennis courts, making it easy to enjoy a quick game or a longer rally session in a friendly community environment. 

  • Courts available: Monday–Friday: 7am – 10pm 
  • Book online or by phone to secure your court 
  • Weekends: 9am – 6pm 

Block bookings available for regular weekly sessions

Call the centre reception on 01282 953444 to make a booking over the phone – this can be useful if you want help checking availability or arranging a block booking (regular sessions).

You can walk in and book directly at the leisure centre reception desk, subject to current availability on the system. 

Yes — block bookings are available for the sports hall at St Peter’s Leisure Centre. You can secure a regular slot for your group or activity by requesting a block booking, which is typically paid by Direct Debit or quarterly invoice. This is ideal for clubs, teams or groups who want guaranteed hall time rather than booking individual 55‑minute slots each week. 

Parking is free for 3 hours for users of the centre 

Equipment hire is £5 per item

Short Tennis is available at our St Peter’s Sports Hall, with space to set up up to four courts at once.

Here’s the pricing info for Table Tennis hire at St Peter’s Leisure Centre  

All bookings are made in 55-minute slots starting at 5 minutes past the hour, giving you plenty of time to play while allowing staff a short 5-minute preparation window at the start of each session to reset and prepare the space for your group.
