Outdoor Wellbeing Coach
Burnley Leisure & Culture is looking for an enthusiastic Outdoor Wellbeing Coach to help people improve their health and wellbeing through outdoor activity. You will deliver engaging wellbeing sessions, walks, outdoor activities and health coaching programmes, supporting individuals to make positive lifestyle changes while connecting them with local services and opportunities.
You will have a relevant Level 3 qualification in sport, outdoor activities or a related field, along with experience of delivering physical activity and wellbeing programmes to diverse groups. A Health Coaching Certificate and First Aid qualification, or willingness to obtain these within six months of appointment, are also essential. A Walk Leader and Paddlesport qualification are desirable.
You must be able to communicate clearly both written and verbally and have the ability to write reports and present information. You must also have the ability to set clear objectives, performance indicators and timescales for improvement.
Knowledge and understanding of health conditions and risk factors associated with poor health is also essential.
