One of Burnley’s most treasured pieces of heritage, The Mechanics is home to the bustling 1855 Kitchen & Bar and the notoriously gin-soaked Lounge Bar.
This space could also be the venue for your fabulous gathering or corporate event.

Lounge Bar
The Lounge Bar has been transformed into a modern, vibrant space with sumptuous leather sofas, low lighting and a warm, relaxed feel. It boasts a Steinway Grand Piano as a stunning centrepiece.

Auditorium
The jaw-dropping grandeur and size of our Auditorium – complete with large gilt pillars and impressive stage – is the perfect backdrop for all types of events. It offers a modern, flexible space which is easily converted from theatre to banquet hall, catwalk runway to wedding venue, conference room to standing rock venue.
The Theatre
Bar
The Colin Sanderson Theatre Bar is steeped in the history and heritage of the theatre building, featuring artwork which depicts its journey dating back to 1855. It’s a grand and traditional setting centred around a mahogany bar and specially commissioned stained glass.
The Front
Room
The Front Room has an air of intimacy. It has seen everything from the likes of rhythm and blues bands Dr Feelgood and Ricky Cool and the In-Crowd to classical ensemble Fordante and hot jazz swingsters The After-Hours Quintet.
