The Jurassic Village adventure golf course at Prairie Sports Village is set to open later this year, with works starting on our exciting new attraction in mid-July.

Forking out monthly for a gym membership doesn’t suit everyone – even for the most committed fitness enthusiast.

There could be all sorts of reasons – the budget doesn’t stretch that far, a busy schedule means it’s difficult to stick to regular visits, or maybe, it’s just a case of not wanting to make a financial commitment, especially if you’re a novice gym-goer.

Whatever your reasons, the good news is there is a simple solution – pay as you go, currently undergoing a boom in popularity.

What is a pay-as-you-go gym?

A pay-as-you-go gym membership allows you to access gym facilities without signing up for a long-term contract and/or making a regular commitment. Instead, you simply pay for a single visit, or a set number of visits.

It’s ideal for someone looking for flexibility in their schedule, or for someone who’s not a regular gym-goer, wanting to see if the gym is going to be their chosen mode of exercise.

This option is also great for visitors who are only in town for a short space of time and wanting to maintain their workout schedule.

Pay-as-you-go options include a ‘day pass’ or a pre-paid pass for a set number of visits. But did you know that reducing food waste is one of the quickest and simplest ways to save a bit of dough and help the planet at the same time?

The top 5 benefits of pay-as-you-go

  1. No long-term commitment – pay only when you want to use the gym.
  2. Budget-friendly – there’s no monthly fee, so it’s easier to stick to a budget.
  3. Try before you commit – PAYG is a great way to see if working out in the gym is your cup of tea.
  4. Great for beginners – if you’re new to the workout groove, you might not want to commit to a contract membership.
  5. Flexible for busy schedules – go to the gym when it suits you.
