The adventure course will have a ‘Jurassic/dinosaur’ theme and will feature model dinosaurs – some as tall as 4m – a volcano, sculptures, a water feature, and an artificial rockwork entrance. It will replace our existing 9-hole mini golf course and short game area.
Gather the family and head to Jurassic Village – our brand-new 18-hole adventure golf course that promises a ‘T-rex-cellent’ day out for explorers of all ages.
Perfect for families, friends or even a unique date idea, Jurassic Village has been designed to take players on an unforgettable journey back in time.
After venturing through the dramatic rockwork entrance, you’ll stalk beneath towering cliffs, glance up to the skies and come face-to-face with a four-metre-tall T-Rex and his fearsome, life-like friends, and more of your prehistoric favourites.
Every corner of the course has been carefully designed to immerse you in a Jurassic world, making each putt part of a bigger adventure.
As you prowl deeper through the course, you’ll discover a rumbling volcano, stomp around striking dinosaur sculptures, splash past a cascading water feature and trek through more incredible scenery.
Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just looking for a fun family day out, each hole offers something different to keep both kids and grown-ups entertained from start to finish.
And when you’ve conquered all 18 holes, why not reward yourself with a trip to our Prairie Bistro, where a ‘par-fect’ selection of food and drink awaits. From hot drinks to warm you up after braving the prehistoric landscape, to tasty meals and treats for hungry explorers, it’s the ideal spot to relax and share stories of your golfing victories.
Putters and balls are provided, so all you need to bring is your sense of adventure.
Jurassic Village birthday parties
Jurassic Village is also the perfect place for your dinky dinos to celebrate a birthday or special occasion, with adventure golf parties available for between 12 and 30 children.
Parties cost £15 per child and run every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 2pm or 3pm to 5pm, making them an exciting way for little raptors to mark their big day. With party food, fun and a dedicated host, it’s a celebration they won’t forget.
Our Jurassic Village adventure golf course is the latest development at Prairie Sports Village, which is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its opening on 25th October 2015.
Once playing fields with a changing room pavilion, the Prairie was transformed into the into the multi-sports and hospitality complex it is today thanks to a £2.5m development that won the backing of Burnley Council and received significant funding from the Football Foundation and Sport England.
