Bringing the Burnley Community Together

Our two Burnley gyms are more than places to exercise, they are community hubs where people of all ages and abilities support one another. Whatever your goals, you will find a welcoming environment that encourages both physical and mental wellbeing.

Your membership also gives you access to other centres within the Active Network.

St Peter’s Centre, refurbished in 2024, is one of our two Burnley gyms, providing accessible leisure, fitness and wellbeing facilities for all ages and abilities.

Our facilities feature state-of-the-art equipment and versatile training spaces to suit every fitness goal. Enjoy our hybrid training area with resistance machines and free weights, a dedicated boxing zone with multiple bags, and two fully equipped fitness studios, one for indoor cycling and the other for a wide range of classes. Members also benefit from free use of the Boditrax body analysis machine, a body composition analysis tool that provides detailed metrics about your health.

Padiham Leisure Centre, fully refurbished in 2024, offers accessible leisure, fitness and wellbeing facilities for all ages and abilities. Our centre features a fully equipped gym with cardio machines, resistance equipment and free weights, along with two spacious studios for indoor cycling and a wide range of group classes. With more than 50 classes each week, including Les Mills and HIIT Company sessions, there is something for everyone. Members can also enjoy free use of the Boditrax body analysis machine, a body composition analysis tool that provides detailed metrics about your health and access to Box 12 equipment.

Here at Burnley Leisure and Culture we are passionate about helping young people get active and enjoy sport. Our special junior rate for those aged 13 and under gives affordable monthly access to a wide range of facilities across Burnley.

Juniors aged 12 years or over can use the gym at any time when accompanied by a parent or guardian. The minimum age to use the gym without supervision is 14 years.

Young people under 16 years can access the gym until 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, and at any time on Fridays and at weekends. There are no time restrictions when they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
