Businesses in and around Burnley are being invited to sponsor categories at this year’s Burnley Community Sports Awards.
Category sponsorship opportunities are available for the glittering ceremony which celebrates the best in community sport on Thursday, 21st July at the Mechanics theatre, Burnley.
The event organiser Burnley Leisure is inviting businesses, clubs and organisations to become part of this prestigious event by offering opportunities for sponsorship.
In return businesses will receive advertising opportunities with lots of promotional activity on the night itself – along with four tickets to the event.
This year’s event will once again be full of Olympic glory with Roger Black, former World Champion and Olympic silver medallist, hosting the ceremony.
The annual awards are recognising and rewarding a number of rising star athletes, teams, volunteers, schools, coaches, and unsung heroes for their hard work and dedication to sport, health and physical activity across the borough.
Paul Foster, head of development at Burnley Leisure, said: “We have lots of sponsorship opportunities on offer and are keen to hear from local businesses who’d like to support Burnley’s sports awards, and show their appreciation for sports people and volunteers in and around the town.
“More than 200 people from across the borough will be invited to attend the ceremony, many of whom are nominees, nominators and guests from local sports clubs, schools and organisations. For local businesses, the awards event will provide a unique opportunity to show support for sports and unsung heroes while reaching a valuable target audience.”
Nominations are currently being welcomed for club and coach of the year, volunteer and young volunteer of the year, school of the year, rising star, health champion, community award and more.
